Wow it's almost here

December flew by. It seems like it was just Thanksgiving. I am so looking forward to Christmas with my new family.

We have been a busy bunch. Mom made the boy's a set of bunk beds. It is so cool. I like to hang out on them as well. There is going to be an upcoming blog post about them in January and I will share the link to them.

I have been busy as well.I am learning to knit. I hope I can get the boys some blanket's finished before Christmas. I have half of one done and I did all of it in one day, so it might happen. I am making super soft fuzzy blankets. I hope the boys like them.

This is a short post, I need to finish the blankets  and time is a ticking, so I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanzaa.

This Christmas

Sorry that I have not posted much lately. I have been hanging out with Sam until she gets adopted. We've been watching Christmas specials and eating tons of popcorn and having so much fun.  I am really giong to miss her when she goes to her new home. She is so much more fun to hang around with than Katie. Kendal and Andy are fine, but sometimes a girl needs a girl to hang with.

I hope everyone has been on their best behavior, Santa is watching... speaking of which,  I think that mom is going to call Santa and report my human brother Ryan because he is not doing his homework. My mom text messages the elves when the 2 human brothers act up. She never has to report the doll kids, we behave. I think we are so happy to not be all beat up and in good will it helps us with our behavior. You can't list your people kids on Ebay or Etsy, but us doll kids can have happen, and when you are happy you need to show it by behaving.
(I still have nightmares about Goodwill...and the smell...and once again I have to say that I am greatful for the love and the repairs. Thanks Mom!)

We have the outsde decorated, Dad put up his little village and our doll kid tree is decorated, but the big tree is not up yet. I guess Mom and Dad will work on that this week. Mom doesn't like to rush into it. We leave the tree up until Russian Christmas is over. Russian Christmas is on January 7th. Our tree will not be touched until January 8th at the earliest. Mom's ancestors were of Russian Orthodox desent, so my Mom was raised to observe the Russian holiday as well. This means at our home we leave all the decorations up after New Years, and we don't light the outside until January7, and that night we light it all again. We don't do any more gifts, this is a more spiritual observance than a commerical one.

I am looking forward to my first christmas with my new family. I hope we have a great one.

Saying Goodbye to Sam

Well it is time to get ready to say good-bye to one of the foster kids. I hope Sam finds a family who will love her like mine does. Mom has her looking pretty and she is going to be a great friend to a new human, I just know it. I will miss her. Andy thinks that she is his twin, and I know he will be heart broken when she leaves.

Well she is up for adoption on etsy right now and we spent some time together this weekend.

Here is to you Sam, hope you end up happy where ever you go.

Christmas Tree

Yesterday, we decorated a tree! Well Kendall and Katie didn't want to help, so Andy and I decorated the tree together, just the two of us, and we had a good time. I really love Andy, he can be fun, he is absolutely more fun than Kendall and Katie, that is for sure. Kendall was working on his soccer dribble and Katie was...wait for it...reading.

We have a tiny tree, now if we only had a table our size to go with this. Oh well we can sit by it and it is our height.

Well I am super tired. I had a long day today, since no matter what I did, I messed up. I couldn't type a password right on the computer to save my life! I had to reset 3 different passwords!! Ugh I guess I have Christmas brain!

The last few days...

Life in this crazy house is busy busy busy. Thanksgiving was a beautiful warm sunny day. You could not have asked for better weather, and yesterday and today were more of the same, in the mid 60's until the sun starts to go down. Lovely though.

We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Poppa cooked, it's his thing. Then he complains about cooking for a week after...again, his thing. Mom would cook but she gets sent out of the kitchen, and it is not that Mom can't cook, he just has to be in control of the cooking. My Poppa watches Food network or the Cooking channel all the time. It is his hobby I guess.

He made the BEST stuffing in the world, Aunt Mary's stuffing. Yummy yummy in my tummy. He made green bean casserole as well so I was in heaven. I also like the cranberry sauce that comes from a can and looks like the can with no lumps in it. I could care less about the meat, lol.

We worked on listing all the jewelry Mom made while we were without internet. That is all listed now. We had nearly 200 items. not all for Dolls like me but more was for a doll than not. She has about 2 things left to make and she will be finished listing before the holidays. We will then restock before Valentines, if enough sells.  Mom and I are always trying to think of new styles. I love to help.

Today she started to make the boys (Andy and Kendall, my doll brothers) a set of bunk beds for in the boy's room. After church tomorrow, she will sand and paint the wood parts. It is sooo cool! The 4 corner posts look like giant crayons. (They are crayon banks) One red, one yellow, one blue and one green.

I think mom will write up all of how we did it and send it with photo's to her friend Karen who has this cool blog that I have mentioned Karen Mom of 3 Craft Blog where everything is for a doll. We'll share a linkydooo...

Well I gotta run,

Christmas Wish List

There are so many great items for dolls like me on Etsy. I hacked into Mom and Dad's Etsy account and I created a wish list. The best part is every thing in my list  is under 10.00. Bargains! Most all the doll stuff in Mom's shop is priced reasonably as well but I wanted different things than Mom sells.

Beth's Etsy Treasury

I hope everyone likes what I chose.

I love that cupcake, it looks yummy!

Well thinking about cupcakes made me hungry for dinner. I  am going to go clear and set our table.

Thanksgiving

Photo by my people brother, Ryan.
With Thanksgiving coming this week, I think every person or doll should pause to reflect on what they are thankful for. I am thankful that I was adopted into a loving family, and that I am out of that horrible Goodwill (it had an odor, yuk).  I am thankful for being clean, clothed and not having my hair in a matted tangle.  I am thankful my new Mom repaired me. I am thankful for my brothers and sister, and for the time I get to spend with the foster doll's who are here for a make-over before they go on to new homes. I enjoy the friendships that I have made since I moved in here.  I had a good year this year, joining this family and I am very grateful. I also know I am loved and all these things that I am thankful for are more valuable than I ca place any dollar amount on.

Happy Thanksgiving and love to you and your family both Doll and People. Say a prayer for those without what you have. Write down what you are Thankful for. Let me know on here.

Mom and I are thankful for the American Girl Doll community, we love all the new people we have had thee pleasure of meeting through it and the friends we have made.
You should read our friend Karen's blog it is karenmomofthreescraft.blogspot.com

No internet...

What a week. We had new service installed for our internet on Monday, but the old service was not suppose to be cut off until Thursday and it took over  2 days and a lot of frustration and added expenses, but it is fixed. YAY.

I felt like my wings were clipped.

As soon as Mom had the boys computer up and running again,  I hijacked it to go to the American Girl Website and boy, was my brother Ryan mad! (although he was surprised how fast I can type and how I can out spell him... yeah Ryan, I ROCK!! You best get used to me but it is sad when a DOLL can type better than you and you are a human..tee heee!) Really hijacking his computer is tooooo easy... he can't keep up with me. So I was looking at all the new stuff and I really want the Heelys\, and the silver high heeled shoes on the AG website. Maybe if someone really loves me.... yeah they are super expensive so I have a feeling it is not going to happen. Oh well...

I  now hijacked Mom's computer which is the one that I usually use to blog, although Mom is much nicer and she said she'd rather that it was me using her laptop than the boys because they are so rough with the computer and  I treat it right.

I think that I need to ask for my own laptop... hmmm maybe I might have to. Mom's is so big for me I have to stand to type and I need a whole had to press one letter. I guess I will see what I get for Christmas.

I spent the  time without the internet making jewelry with Mom and  Ryan for Mom's shop since we could not play the Sims on Facebook. No excuse to waste time there. We made so much stuff. Mom still has a bit to photograph then she will be editing and listing all this stuff in Etsy.

It takes so long to take the photo's and with it being November I am so cold doing them but I do like spending time with Mom. We still have so much to do. I am Mom's top model now. Katie is only doing the wire type earrings that my mom makes now. Katie doesn't like to stand without having her kindle in her hand so she is constantly getting yelled at to put it down while Mom is trying to take her photo and then Mom gets mad. I guess it is easier for me to do most of it since I co-operate.

Time with my sister

Sorry that I have not blogged much, but we are gearing up for the holiday season and adding new merchandise to the store. This means I have been a busy girl with the model work for the photos and then photo editing and listing. Mom has been busy making new stuff every day. She wants 200 items in the shop by cyber Monday so that is her goal.

Katie finally came out of her room. Mom made some earrings for her type of pierced ears so she had to model for them. I got to hang out on the swing on the porch with her. It was warm enough but windy! I don't like the wind, after all with my size it is a danger.

Katie can be fun. I just wish that she would be fun more often. I hope that Mom makes her work with me more often.

Mom snapped that photo while we were talking about our brothers.

Well I got to go, I still need to read a book that I have to write a report on. I am reading A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Bad Beginning.

Happy Friday

Today the boys were home from school in honor of Veteran's day. Wow, did they ever get crazy! I think I like it better when they go to school.

Mom made some more jewelry today, and she needs to take photo's of that plus some earrings she did not complete from the other day. Hopefully the weather tomorrow will co-operate and we can have a photo shoot and then off to edit and list.

I like the modeling part. Mom makes me look pretty. She did my hair today for tomorrow. It is super cute. I have this french braided crossover ponytail do. It was windy the other day when she took my photo's so this will help with the hair blowing around in the breeze problem. I love some of the stuff mom came up with today.

Mom has branched out a bit. She sculpted some mugs that are my size so if the baking process goes well, a new item. Here's hoping that works out.

Well it is late for little dolls. I have to get going.

Veteran's Day from an American Girl

Everyone in the United States of America (dolls and people too) needs to pause on November 11, and remember all the fallen that have served this country, protected us, and lost their lives for us. Thank a Veteran, or a solider. While we have fallen on some hard time this year, can you imagine how much worse they  could be without the freedom we all take for granted.
Say a prayer for our country if that fits your lifestyle. Reflect on the meaning of the holiday. Show respect, and honor to the flag and all who defend what it stands for. Sing a patriotic song. Display your flag. Show your pride.

I might be a 9 year old doll, but I was born in China as we all are and hey I love being an American Girl. I am proud of my title.

I will be spending Veteran's day with my family. Peace & love to you and yours.  Thanks Veterans and NAVY, ARMY, AF, MARINES for without you where would we be?

Etsy

Mom and I have been so busy so sorry that I did not blog. We have been making new jewelry styles for my Mom's Etsy store. Mom took  a glam shot that is the one at the top, and then she edited the photo below that to pop, not for the Etsy shop, but for fun, and for me. I look so cool.

That zebra belt is for sale. I want one.

You can see where Katie and I model at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Lemonhead103 and there are so many awesome shops  on Etsy that have clothing, shoes, jewelry, food, furniture, well everything you could imagine. It  is a great place to develop a signature look.

Karen Mom of Three is one of my Mom's friends. (her three are people kids, boys. I am not sure  how many doll kids she has) Her shop is http://www.etsy.com/shop/Karenmomofthree?ref=pr_shop_more

Karen has a blog too, her blog is http://karenmomofthreescraft.blogspot.com/
I love her blog. She has such great ideas on how to make stuff for yourself.  You really should follow her.

I also like to watch You Tube doll videos. Fun and  learn so much.

Well Mom said she needs the computer back, she has tons of photo's to finish editing, and then she has to create the new listings.

Hope to blog more soon.

Sunday, November 6, 2011

It was a boring lazy Saturday. I was home with the boys, Katie and Poppa. Mom was at a scout leader training and Dad had work.

I played Legos with all the boys. It is easier to join them, especially when they outnumber the girls.

(I like lego's they are fun.. the minifigures are cute.)

Not much to say about today, but some days are like that.

We are rolling the clocks back an hour so that makes me happy.

The Scout food drive is tomorrow so I guess we will be having another busy day.
Church, then scouts. that is my day.

It is very late for little dolls, I need some shuut eye. Goodnight.

Hair

My New Hair

WOOOO!

I went out to play on the swingset with the boys because it was really nice this afternoon.

Here I am with Kendall and Andy.

Kendall is wearing the hat.

Here is a close up of his face, I told you he was cute.

Don't you love the freckles?

I think he is adorable.

I'll have Mom help me sneak some more photos of him. Mom got one of me and her flash went off in the full sun why, I don't know but it did. I look crazy.

But you can see the red in the new do.

The people brothers did not have school since they had an inservice day, so the five of us played and Katie stayed to herself....well the boys are more fun anyhow.
Now that I look at these, Mom needs to take some better photos. I will ask. She was rushed because the boys started to fight and she had to go break it up, then she made us all go inside anad calm down.

Have fun Tomorrow is SATURDAY!!! Poppa is watching us all because Dad has work and Mom has a meeting. I'll let ya know how that goes. You know I'll be the good one...(well Katie will too because she is anti-social...that nerd did 2 grades in a year homeschooling. She keeps it up she can graduate at 15!)

I am so excited!

OMG, OMG, OMG

Mom finally got around to doing my surgery today. My hips are 100% ok again and I can stand up straight, SO happy. I was scared, as anyone would be when they have surgery, but it did not hurt at all and I am so much better now. I didn't even realize that time passed. I was asleep the entire time.

Then Mom asked me if I wanted to change my hair color. I went for it. I now have an Auburn color. It looks very pretty with my blue eyes if I say so myself. I keep staring at myself. I am in love with it.

Andy cried when he looked at me, he kept saying through the tears that he wanted my blonde hair back. I love that silly guy. He is cute, and he loves me the best. He and I sit together alot and he does wrap my hair in his fingers and twirl it, so I guess he did have a thing for it. I'll go blonde again eventually. I am thinking this is a good warmer fall/winter look.

Anyhow, no photos of the new look until tomorrow because Mom said that it will be even nicer in natural light and it was dark dark dark until we finished it. I can not wait for tomorrow when we go take my picture! I am not going to wear anything that will outshine my cool new do, so just my favorite blue jeans and a white shirt. I am keeping is simple. My hair is going to be the Shining star in the photos.

Ok enough about my hair, lol. Kendall is up and around from his surgeries. I'll see if he will let me take his photo tomorrow. (I have such cute brothers!) Kendall and I are the same age, but we are not twins, since we were both adopted. We both have blue eyes, and he is currently blonde.

Want to hear something silly? People think that Ryan and Avery are twins all the time and Ryan is 3 1/2 years older. Ryan is only just slightly taller though. He is short for his age and Avery is super tall for his age so they meet in the middle. Ryan gets very angry.

So the rest of my day, Mom and I looked at maps after I did my school work, because the Cub Scouts are doing a canned food drive so we had to make up maps and routes for the teams. We spent alot of time with a highlighter, coloring the routes in. Mom has some more to do but the highlighters needed a break. She has until Sunday to get it finished and I will help her too. I really like to help my mom with stuff.

We spent some time reading other peoples blogs today too. (well mom and I do that every day) I look forward to new updates from other dolls like me. I don't travel like many of them do, I just live with me new family and do everyday things, like schoolwork. I hope to visit my cousins Madi, Molly and Emma... (Madi and Emma are people, Molly is the doll.) They have a little (people) brother Jake too. I want to play with Molly. I think she will be more fun than Katie.

When the boys went to be Kendall went up with them, Andy snuck back down to watch more tv with me when Avery was not paying attention, and Katie is upstairs. I bet you can guess what she is doing, reading her kindle and listening to music. She needs a life. I am pretty attached to Mom though, so I like to be with her. I am so happy to have a new family, especially one who loves me enough to pick me. That is the cool thing, four of us are adopted and we are loved and chosen.

Mom's other two patients are nearly ready to find new homes. Sami still needs a hairstyle. Then she is going up for adoption. Kendall's twin brother will be with us until we can visit his new mom Bella. She is going to love him though, Equally as cute as Kendall.

Mom needs her computer she had some email she needs to write.

Later guys!

Shameless Christmas list plug:
Here is a photo of some bracelets mom made. I love them. I am hinting here for Christmas, mom. (You don't have to sell them all in the Etsy shop do you? Please!)

Reading (and Glee)

I love to read, however unlike my sister Katie I actually take my nose out of a book long enough to enjoy the family and our friends. Katie only has her nose out of a book long enough to go on Amazon and load up her kindle. Those free downloads can take you pretty far. Everyone gets her Amazon gift cards. It is the only thing that makes her happy. She is picky, picky, picky about her clothes. She prefers gift cards for them as well. I should introduce her.

This is Katie. She is very pretty I think. Just a bit hard to live with.

I like to read story's with Princesses, Fairies, Dragons, Vampires, and Witches....well i like fantasy stories. I adore the Princess Diaries, just not the Disney version. They completely ruined the book. Princess Mia's Grandmere was mean not warm and fuzzy Julie Andrews. Ugh... and they ruined Michael Moscovitz as well....anyhow the books are better. There are very few times that I will say that the movie or tv show was better than the book. Vampire Diaries is the only time I say that....(shhh Mom dosen't know that I DVR that and watch it when she is busy. She says it is too old for me. What-ever Mom!) Mom had a few of the books but she hated them. I read them and she recently listed them on Ebay and just got rid of them. Elena was not likeable in the book. You pretty much wanted her to be dinner.

Anyhow back to Katie and her reading, right now she is listing to Lithium on Sirius/XM (ok that I agree with her on, the 90's had some great alt rock! I like Emo as well. Oh anything Glee too. I love glee...oh wait we were talking about reading) and her pretty face is in her kindle. I am sitting with Andy, watching Glee.
I love her but she is antisocial.

Glee!! Wooo!! SO excited because Damian McGinty started his story on it as Rory Flannigan. We are all fans of Celtic Thunder, and Damian had been in that before he won The Glee Project. (ok he was the only winner that any one in my house... and that means all the human's and doll's cared about.) He is cute. Too bad I am too little for him (and vinyl) He can sing too. I guess he is my Celebrity crush. Katie loves Darren Criss. I am really surprised that she did not watch it yet. We DVR it, Mom has scouts on Tuesdays. This is the 3rd time Andy and I watched it. Andy likes to think he is Finn.... he is a silly little brother.

Gotta go watch my love! Bye!

Yay!! Mom finally uploaded the Halloween pictures :)

Tada! Here is my costume I am a paper doll !
(get the irony?)

Here is me and Andy. Although he left his light saber in the house, I think he made such a cute Jedi!

Then he started to get in trouble. He decided he needed to turn the lights on that are in the pumpkins. I kept yelling at him that it was day time and that would be a waste of electricity. He tried to light the Pumpkin that Avery and he designed first.

But he had no luck so then he ran to the other side and started messing with Ryan's pumpkin.

He was really determined that the pumpkin was going to glow. I asked him how he expected to see it glow if it was not dark out. He did not have an answer.

I then pointed out that all he really needed to do was plug in the cords instead of trying to lift a gigantic pumpkin and that we would light them at night.

And here is what they looked like all lit up. Andy was sitting next to me while I typed this post and he insisted that I add the lit photos because they are cool... He said Props if you get the triangle pumpkin. Our big brother Ryan loves the movie and books that it came from...and the Lego's :). Andy said he loves Ryan's lego's too since he keeps butting in. I gotta go he needs to do his math and I am going to help him so we can move on with our lessons. I have my math done already. I am awesome at multiplying!

Don't eat too much candy!

Tuesday, November 1, 2011

Well it was a very very busy day here today. Mom did not get to uploading my photo yet, so hopefully tomorrow I can show my cute cute costume on here.

Mom is a Cub Master. She was busy getting the pack meeting ready today. We sat and cut out hundreds of snow flakes from construction paper. The boys made Cards with 2 snowflakes on the front that said Season's Greetings. They are going to send them to the military. How fun is that? I got to help her cut cut cut away. That was fun for me. She had to pull a pack meeting together and was really behind on it since Halloween cut into her prep time day. She also made a Cat in the Hat  hat from cardstock, it went with the Bobcat ceremony. I think I might need to make a fun paper Cat in the Hat hat...maybe even a fabric one. I think I will ask Mom if that is ok. I really like the Cat in the Hat. Green Eggs and Ham is the best Seuss book though. Do you have a favorite?

I love to read like my sister Katie. I am here in one of my modeling photo's and I love this shirt. I want Mom to paint me one, I am Team Jacob!  Mom would not let me keep it she put it in her Etsy store.Wow is Jacob cute. Katie is Team Edward, We argue over them.

I did not get to keep the tulle skirt either. :( Oh well. I mostly wear jeans and a t-shirt. NO shoes. I hate shoes. Well, I like to have them but I hate to wear them because I like my toes free. Sandals are my favorite. It is not cold enough here for me to wear shoes all the time, It has to get cold before I will do that . I even like to sneak out side with no shoes in my modeling photos. In fact since I stayed home for halloween, I ran out for pictures with Andy and I am barefoot. ( It was in the 50's still I can take it. but 10 degrees less and then it is shoe time.)

I am already ready for spring to get here. I don't like cold snow or winter. Other than the holidays, I can leave the rest of winter.

I like the warmer weather because I love to grow flowers, just like my brothers Avery and Andy. Avery has the most awesome roses, and he is only 6 He planted them last spring when he was still 5 with Dad's help.  He helps take care of them and everything. He is hoping to get a new one in the spring, in a different color. Avery has one that is red which is hiss favorite color, and one that the roses are yellow with pink and orange in them as well. I really like the crazy colored ones.

Haha Avery was creeping into my photo. He is my buddy! He likes my little flowers that I helped Mom with for Etsy. Andy keeps a little pot of flowers on top of his dresser. We all get along great.

Aren't these cool??

Well, I am starting to yawn. I need my beauty rest.

Monday, October 31, 2011

Hi, welcome to my blog. I am Elizabeth, but my new family calls me Beth for short. I am 9 years old. I have recentlly been adopted by a new family. I was in an orphanage for a short time. I can't remember much about my life from before my new mom found me. Mom said the mind will block out things that are painful to remember, I guess it would make me too sad to talk about how my original Mom just tossed me to Goodwill.

In the process of being adopted, I gained some brothers and a sister. Ryan is 9 like me but he's a bit taller, since he is human. Avery and Andy are 6. Avery is a human like Ryan, they are biological brothers. Andy is my size, exactly. He is 18 inches tall as well. I have a sister named Katie and she is 18 inches tall. I like having so many kids around.

There are 3 other kids in the house right now. There is Kendall, but he is still getting operated on so he is not able to play. Mom is making him better again, since he was also a Goodwill kid, and he is going to be Ryan's best buddy, kind of like Andy is Avery's best buddy. (although I think that Avery will play with Kendall more...) Kendall has a twin, Bane. Bane is also getting some tlc from Mom then he is going to go live with Bella, Ryan's friend and Kanani. Bane is a Hawaiian name and it means long awaited child. Samantha is also getting some tlc and then she will be finding a new home for herself. I think we will always have some foster kids around. Unfortunatly they are never in any shape to play, and if they are then they are too excited to be going to their new home to bother with us.

Katie keeps to herself alot. She is very quiet and likes to read and be alone up in her room on top of Mom's dresser. I like her but she dosen't like to play much. She is 12 and very serious.

Ryan always has tons of homework. That is why I am glad that I am homeschooled. I get my work done when we do school. Andy and Katie gets homeschooled with me and as soon as Kendall is well he will get home schooled also.

I spend time playing with Andy and Avery and I help mom with her Etsy and Emily Rose businesses.

I like to hang out with Mom too. I know she loves me and Katie, Andy and Kendall, her adopted kids. She talkes to us and treats us nice. Daddy works alot and he never really talks to us. Grandpa will stop to talk to us on occassion too.

I do have some scars from my time at Goodwill. I have very very thin hair and it falls out alot. Mom said that at some point she will have to send me away to the hospital. I am scared of that though. I don't want to leave Mom. What if I don't get back. Mom said the other option is that I will need to get a wig and that she can fix that herself. I don't know what will happen, I just have to wait and see.

I will be having some minor surgery on my hips pretty soon. Mom is going to operate now that the part she needed came in. She operated on me once before and the part was defective so here's hoping that my legs will be very strong after my surgery. The good part is once she is done I won't need any recovery time, just some hugs. I know Avery will be the first to hug me. Andy had the same failure and Avery was hugging him as soon as he was out of surgery. Now Andy is running around here, dressed as a Jedi Knight with his lightsaber...causing quite a ruckus. Well at least that is a happy noise.

Tomorrow I will upload my photo of Andy and me from Halloween. Since I already told  you that he was a jedi, you will have to wait until then to see what I was.

Happy Halloween.
Love, Beth
