How cute ARE my boots

How cute ARE my boots??
Except that I don't get to keep them, but I am sure that Nani will love them.
They are her Valentine's gift. I am modeling them for a photo shoot then we packed them up.

Actually the whole outfit is for her, the thigh high socks, the boots, the skirt , the sweater, the headband and the purse.
I really wanted to re-enact the Gap ad... That was so catchy.

Haha I put it in my post for your viewing enjoyment.

It was so nice out when we took these, I was dressed perfectly for the weather we had. can you believe that it is January, and I live in Delaware and my grass is still this green? That is insane. Usually it is all brown by now. We've had a warm winter.

I took a break from modeling to ride on the swing. I love the swings. So much fun.
The last is a close up of the detail on the boots. We took one of the bottom of the sole, but it was out of focus when we brought it up on the computer. It was so sunny out Mom couldn't tell on the screen on the digital camera that it was fuzzy

Well I had a busy day, we shot another set of photos since we're entering a contest. I am a bit sleepy. I hope you think the boots are cute. Please let me know.

Boots

OMG how cute are my Boot's?

Wow, that sounded like that Gap ad from a few years ago. But SERIOUSLY... CUTE.

And they are a gift for my cousin Nani... Bummer.

I'll post a photo of me wearing them tomorrow.

CUTE!!!

LOL

I need to lay off the Sour Patch Kids late at night. Sour Patch Kids are my favorite candy. I am one hyper doll right now.

Winter Time

Other than looking forward to Valentine's day. I really despise Winter. It is not snowing, but we have tons of cold rain and dreary gray days. I just can't wait for Spring. I am so tired of being cooped up. I did go to Cub Scouts this week and I visited with some of the girls.

I think being home schooled is hard in a way because, I am always with Kendall, Andy and Katie. I think that it would be nice to have some friends outside of the house. I also have my people brothers, Ryan and Avery, but they do go to actual school. I do get jealous of that from time to time. (except for their drab uniforms. uck!)

I am advanced for my age though and since I can work at my own pace I am ahead of the average 4th grader.

I hope things will change around here soon, so I can go to Pennsylvania for a visit. I can see Molly, Julie and Kanani my cousins. I can also visit Kit and Nani and her brother. Some different people to see and hang with would be soo nice.

I guess for now I will go to Cub Scouts. At least Rachel is there with her brothers.  For now she is my first friend outside of the family. I hope that when the weather gets better we can go out and I will find myself some friends.

Do you ever wish you had someone different to hang out with?

Couch, chair, ottoman, and dining table and chairs

Ok, so I am so excited to show this! We made furniture. Recycled furniture!
(and it is comfy!!) Sorry the table top is glaring in the top photo, the light coming in the window was a bit much oops! The chairs were easier to see since I took this before the boy's sat down.

Here is Kendall (in the green shirt) and Andy (in the red shirt, and my favorite brother ) at the table.
It is in their room, so they call it theirs, but I get in there every chance I get to hang out now with them.

And the couch, chair and ottoman with the boy's sitting on it.  Some times I go in there to sit on the couch and knit and I find Perry the Platypus asleep on the chair, and Ferb stretched out on the couch. I'll take a photo the next time that happens... it is kind of funny. I wake Ferb up but Perry is soo cute I let him sleep. Gee though they just take over. You would think that Ferb would be off building something.

Anyhow here are the couch, chair and ottoman without the boy's in the way. The couch was made from a blue tshirt that was mom's but she hated it, and the orange shirt had been Ryan's until it got too small, then it was Avery's and it was too small for him. Since it was way too big for Andy and Kendall it worked nice for the couch.

on you tube's tuttorials on home made doll stuff.... (yes as a Doll that has nearly all home made stuff I LOVE this You tube channel.)

Next we need the bathroom, and the kitchen...and a bigger bedroom to store it all in.
We spent 5.00 on colored duct tape and a package of dowels. Everything else we used to make this furniture was hand made.

Love it!!!

So excited!!

Hi this is Amy, Beth's mom

I found the tutorials to be super easy to follow. I had almost everything on hand, I did change a few of the recycled items to make the furniture work for the 18 inch doll. Some items she made for smaller dolls and I adapted the ideas to fit an American Girl sized doll. For the Orange and blue table we used a cardboard tube from glow bracelets we bought at Dollar tree cut in half. The cardboard used in that tube was significantly thicker than a toilet paper tube and therefore sturdier. This was made for a 6 yo boy that has a big imagination and social skill issues, we gave him the dolls to help his interpersonal skills, as he will act out social situations with them. The red table and chairs, I used dowels I cut down for the chair legs opposed to the popsicle sticks that were used in the tutorial.  I used a recycled juice bottle and the center leg on the red table. truthfully I already ahd the dowels in the house but a small package runs around 2.00 at Walmart. The tape was approximately 3.00 for a roll. If you were to purchase the designer patterned tapes then it would cost more as there is less on a roll than the colored and you might need 2 rolls. I used most of that roll creating just 2 chairs and the table. I sat with the dolls and decided how much top surface they truly had to have as the kid's room is not huge.

We stack all this up when we are not playing with it since they are a bit cramped.
Beth does hang with the boy's from time to time. Andy likes her just as much as she likes him.
However, I do need to do her hair every time Andy's person, Avery get his hands on her for too long.

I recommend the You tube channel, while most of the dolls she features are not AG sized it is al easily adaptable, and she does have some BFC dolls in some videos. Also, great for Barbie fans.

You tube

Today Andy and I watched  GOTY Studios You Tube videos called Search + Destroy. We  loved it. There were 2 other American Boy's in it. We were very happy to see them. Ali is so creative. If you have some free time watch her video's. I think that we will soon be watching some more of her series since the boys are off of school on Monday.

We also made more furniture today. We are an entertainment center away from being finished. (well maybe a shelf as well to store our puzzles and games on.)

Photo's of our new furniture as soon as it is all set up.

Busy busy building

Our people have not had dolls for a very long time. While they are a crafty bunch up until recently we have had only the bare minimum. That is all changing. The boys have a  long weekend. Mom found this awesome blog and youtube person called My Froggy Stuff . Thanks to her tutorials, Kendall, Andy and I now have a table and a couch made from recycled cardboard, old clothing, paper and different types of glue. I am so excited. Tomorrow we are making chairs.  I am hoping for some appliances as well, but we will have to wait and see.
I'll post some photo's of the stuff we made.
SO COOL!!

The outfit we worked on...

Ok here is me modeling the ensemble, please excuse the horrible hair don't my people brother that is 6 was carrying me around and I was getting all tangled so Mom quickly pulled it up, and we're going to figure out a new style tonight. These are not the best photo's they are right inside the door but it was so windy outside it would be dangerous for a person (ummm...doll?) of my stature.
The entire ensemble

how cute are these boots?

the tie for the wrap sweater

the back of the sweater.
We forgot to take a photo of the soles of the boots, but they have soles too.

Cool? or Not?

Thoughts?

Sam s Still Here

I forgot to tell you that Sam did not find her forever  home yet, and she is still staying with us. I loved having her here for the Holiday's but I wish she'd find a new Mom of her own. I know it makes her sad.

Love <3 and prayers for Sam,

Beth

2012

Well, 2012 is here!
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Mom and I have spent the Holiday's since  Christmas knitting and crocheting some clothes for my sized dolls. She made crocheted bootie style slippers, a Knitted skirt, a knitted and crocheted wrap sweater, a knitted and crocheted purse, a crocheted headband and Crocheted UGG style boots. She is now working the second pair of Ugg's from the same ball of yarn, and this pair is a shorter pair than the first. The first pair went up to my knee, this pair is an ankle boot style. So, what is my actual job in this you ask? I am the mannequin she fits the stuff on, lol. I have to sit still for long periods of time and wait. It's ok, my clothes are cute that I have on. too bad om won't let me keep the outfit. If all goes well photos will be taken tomorrow of most of it.

My family has a second Etsy store now as well and we make and sell cross stitch patterns in that store. It is  Blip 103 Patterns. yes, we use the 103 often, lol. It has no meaning, other than when Dad was making an email account a long time ago, that no longer exists, there was a comic book by him called Blip 103 and hence it stuck. Mom and Dad combine their email's into Lemonhead 103, since they both make the merchandise.

Well Mom told me she needs to finish a pattern for the pattern store so she wants her computer back.

Love <3,
Beth

PS.
This is Beth's Mom, she gets to keep a toasty cozy pair of Ugg style boots. I am  not completely heartless. LOL and if I can get everything done, I'll try to work an outfit in too, no promises though. It took me 5 days t knit and crochet all that since I made my patterns as I went along, and I need to make her Doll cousins in PA sets for gifts first as we give to others before we satisfy our own desires.. I want to send them to the PA Doll Cousins for Valentine's Day since they are coozy winter styles.
